Our recent project at Avenue Gardens, set along a peaceful residential street in Acton, is a perfect example of how thoughtful lighting and expert landscaping can transform an outdoor space into a personal retreat.
The Brief
Our clients were looking for a garden that would provide both a calming escape during the day and a magical, softly lit atmosphere by night. The space needed to feel private and welcoming, ideal for both quiet relaxation and evening entertaining.
We approached the design with this dual-purpose in mind -balancing structure, planting, and lighting to create a garden that comes alive from dawn to dusk.
The Design
We introduced a flowing layout that blends soft lawn areas with natural stone elements and structured planting. The mature trees provide screening and a sense of enclosure, while a carefully planned path invites movement through the space.
Discreet uplighting was used throughout to enhance the textures and shapes of the plants after sunset. By night, the garden glows with warmth and subtle shadow, offering a serene and atmospheric backdrop for any occasion.

This garden now offers year-round interest and usability, with every element working in harmony. The lighting design ensures that the space isn’t just beautiful during the day, it becomes even more enchanting at night.
