As November is here, so it’s the perfect time to refresh your garden and protect it for the months ahead.Our Seasonal Garden Reset and Winter Close-Down service ensures everything is tidy, healthy, and ready to flourish in spring.

If you’ve missed a few autumn jobs - no problem. We’ll catch up and get your garden back in shape.


November Priorities

Now’s the time for:

  • Leaf clearance and final lawn cut (weather permitting)

  • Moss control and hard-surface weeding

  • Bed tidy: remove dead growth and debris

  • Pressure washing of patios and paths

  • Frost protection for pots and outside taps

  • Irrigation shut-off for the winter

A full reset now means less work later, and a garden that still looks cared for through winter.

Winter Works (Nov–Mar)

The dormant season is the best time for planting and restructuring:

  • Transplanting deciduous shrubs and young trees

  • Bare-root planting for hedges, roses, and fruit trees

  • Dividing perennials to rejuvenate growth

  • Re-shaping borders and improving soil with organic mulch

Bare-root plants offer excellent value and establish strongly over winter.


Ongoing Care (Dec–Feb)

Even during the coldest months, key maintenance tasks make a difference:

  • Dormant pruning: fruit trees, roses, and wisteria

  • Reshaping shrubs for structure and airflow

  • Algae and moss control on patios and paths

  • Fence and gate repairs

  • Mulch top-ups and compost turning


Seasonal Reset Includes

  • Full cutback and pruning

  • Lawn cut and sharp edging

  • Bed tidy and debris removal

  • Weeding and pressure washing

  • Pruning encroaching growth from lawns and borders

Optional add-ons: frost protection, irrigation shut-off, biocide treatment, minor timber repairs.
